LONGER BIO

Arielle Silver blasts back to the studio in 2019 inspired by singular moments in the human experience. From lighting strikes, a twisting playground swing, to wild fires, modern folk singer/songwriter mines the profound moments amid daily living's mundane. Fueled by the new record industry -- the collaborative support of fans, friends, and family -- THE CALLING campaign launches in Spring 2019 and is slated for release in early 2020.

Arielle's third album, SOMETHING PRETTY SOMETHING TRUE, was recorded in the blue hours of winter evenings with some of Boston’s best pickers, rockers, and Americana players. Along with her second album, ON THE DASHBOARD OF A SHAKY CAR, both released on independent label Passion Records and co-produced with Passion owner, Chris Florio, her songs were broadcast on AAA, college, and internet radio stations across the US and Canada.

Featuring what The Boston Globe called, “Lovely songwriting and arrangements,” the lush harmonies on SOMETHING PRETTY and DASHBOARD showcase an array of exceptional musicians, including Adam Ollendorff (Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson) on pedal steel, dobro, baritone guitar; celloist/singer Lindsay Mac (Michelle Shocked, Catie Curtis); drummer/percussionist Scott Manley (Mare Wakefield, Moving Picture Show); bassist Mariana Iranzi (Golden Nappa Award); jazz trumpeter, Forbes Graham (Wild May, Violetville); and violin/violist Andy Eggleston (The Bluegrass Revolution).

Prior to her move to Los Angeles, Arielle toured extensively through New England, the mid-Atlantic region, and nationally. Her songs have been licensed nationally and internationally for Film/TV, and she has performed for song lovers in house concerts, acoustic listening rooms, and festivals across the U.S., including Club Passim, 12th and Porter, Eddie's Attic, and Genghis Cohen. She has shared stages with many of her favorite songwriters, including America, Kris Delmhorst, St. Vincent, Jay Nash, Rebecca Loebe, Elizabeth and the Catapult, Mare Wakefield, Jennifer Kimball, and Kevin Fisher (Naked to the World).

Also an essayist and poet, Arielle’s literary work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best New Poets, and more, and has appeared in Matador Review, Moment, Lilith Magazine, Under The Gum Tree, Brevity, Jet Fuel Review, among others.
